Works in Windows 7 too. My CMOS battery is probably on its way out and the time keeps lagging … usually by just a few hours, but sometimes more.

I changed those registry settings, restarted the service as others suggested and created the following bat file to run at startup:

@echo off
net start W32Time
w32tm /resync
exit
